Unique Building - Nr. Standlake, Oxfordshire (621)
This former hunting lodge comprised a double height thatched octagonal structure and a series of single storey interlinking rooms, thatched on the west elevation and either flat roofed or asbestos tiled to the east.
Being unusual in its form, maintaining the octagonal room was considered most important together with the thatched rooms. The extension allowed the opportunity to remove the inappropriate more recent additions to the building.
